This is the only time we cater for both girls and junior boys. One Drive’s mandate after all, as contradictory as it may seem, is not solely about girls in basketball, but is about the growth of basketball in the country (Eswatini) and continent at large through grassroot development.

We have hosted and attended many a games and tournaments for the girls. As we grow, we continue to seek more opportunities to play for the girls. We have, however, also organised some games in the form of friendlies and summer league for the junior boys.

We continue to seek more collaborations in the form of sponsorships as we continue to grow and expand the programme. These tournaments are meant to foster growth and also create awareness about girls in basketball. They also give the girls an opportunity to show their peers, who happen to be boys, that they too are capable of displaying beautiful basketball. This also gives them confidence as they grow and move on to the next levels of the game. Inversely, the boys get to appreciate the skills and effort displayed by the girls therefore leading to respect and eliminating gender biasness when it comes to the game.
